General Description

The DAT 5024AO is a New Process Limit Alarm with Dual Relays. The DAT5024AO is PC and DIP Switch Programmable and has a universal input and an analog output. The input can be Thermocouple, RTD's, Resistance, mA, Voltage, and mV. The Output is both Relays and an analog signal. It has two relays and both mA and Voltage output. The mA output can be active or passive.
The relays are single pole double throw (SPDT), and the contact rating is 2 Amp, 250 VAC, or 2 Amp, 30VDC. The hysteresis is programmable from 0.5% to 10% full scale and has a 1 to 25-second adjustable time delay. The trip level can be set anywhere from 2 % to 98% full scale.
The DAT5024AO is programmable by DIP Switches or by a PC with the CVPROG cable. If set up with the DIP Switch, the 4-20mA output equals the input range on the datasheet, such as -200 to 1300°C on the K type thermocouple. This range can be reconfigured with the PC programming interface.
Each relay output can be set for High or Low settings, and both could be used for high high or low low. The 4-20mA output is isolated from the signal input and power supply with 1500 Vac.
