General Description

The DAT5023V AC Voltage Transducer is designed to measure the True Root Mean Square (TRMS) value of an AC voltage signal and convert it into a proportional DC voltage or current output. This makes it ideal for monitoring and interfacing AC voltage signals with PLCs, data acquisition systems, and industrial controllers.

The device supports multiple input ranges, selectable via DIP switches, including 0–36 VAC, 0–80 VAC, 0–170 VAC, 0–370 VAC, and 0–550 VAC. Custom calibration for other ranges is also available. Outputs can be configured as either voltage or current, allowing flexibility in system integration.

Configuration is simple: DIP switches on the side of the enclosure select input and output ranges, while ZERO and SPAN potentiometers located on the top panel allow fine adjustment. This enables precise calibration to match application requirements.

The DAT5023V delivers 0.1% full-scale accuracy with excellent stability, featuring a thermal drift of less than 0.01%/°F. Its robust design includes 1500 VAC isolation between input, output, and power supply, effectively eliminating ground loops and ensuring reliable operation in harsh industrial environments.

Housed in a 27.5 mm DIN rail enclosure compliant with EN-50022 and EN-50035 standards, the DAT5023V is compact yet rugged. It meets EMC Directive 89/336/CEE, making it a reliable and cost-effective solution for AC voltage measurement and conversion.
