General Description

The DAT4530 is a 4-20mA signal splitter that converts any universal input signal into two analog outputs. The input can be a current (mA), voltage (mV, volts), thermocouple, RTD, resistance, or potentiometer. The outputs are selectable as either current (mA) or voltage and can be configured differently for each channel (e.g., Channel 1: 4-20mA, Channel 2: 0-10V).

Key Features

  • Universal Input: Accepts current, voltage, thermocouple, RTD, resistance, and potentiometer signals.
  • Selectable Output: Each channel can be independently configured for current or voltage outputs.
  • Galvanic Isolation: Isolates input, both outputs, and the power supply, eliminating ground loop problems and reducing noise in heavy industrial environments.
  • Independent Outputs: Each output operates independently, ensuring full redundancy and reliability even if one circuit is interrupted.
  • Enhanced Outputs: Capable of driving loads up to 500 Ohms.
  • Flexible Current Input: Supports both passive and active configurations, capable of powering a 2-wire transmitter.
  • Versatile Current Output: Can either source or sink 4-20mA, suitable for connections to a PLC or distributed control system.
  • Auxiliary Power Supply: Includes a 24V DC auxiliary power supply.
  • Additional Options: Standard options include square root extraction, linearization, trip alarm, and high-speed output.
  • Programmability: DIP switch programmable and PC programmable.
  • DIN Rail Mounting: Designed for easy DIN rail mounting.
