General Description

The DAT5030ISBH is an ATEX approved dual channel HART zener barrier which is hart compatible and is certified intrinsically safe to be used in a Hazardous area. The DAT5030ISBH provides isolation up to 2000Vac for a period of one minute. It accepts Current inputs such as 4-20 mA, 0-20 mA. The isolated output is selectable and can be 4-20 mA, 0-20 mA or the device can be used as a signal converter to provide a 0-10 V or 2-10 V output. The input and output is selectable with DIP switches. Also the mA input and output can be passive or active. The DAT5030ISBH is able to provide the power (excitation voltage) to an Intrinsically safe temperature Transmitter or any other IS type instrument.
The DAT5030ISBH can also be used as a current repeater, signal converter and a signal booster. The DAT5030ISBH version is a space-saving dual unit. It is a DIN rail mount signal fitting on a 35mm DIN rail. The DAT5030ISBH is accurate to 0.1% full scale and has less than 0.01%/°f thermal drift.
The DAT5030ISBH also provides an isolation of 2000Vac between the input and output signal, and isolation of 1500Vac between the power supply and the output signal. This eliminates the effects of any ground loops and allows the use of the transmitter in heavy environmental conditions found in industrial applications. The DAT5030ISBH is in compliance with the standard 89/336/CEE on the Electromagnetic Compatibility.
The DAT5030ISBH is housed in a plastic enclosure of 22.5 mm thickness suitable for DIN rail mounting in compliance with EN-50022 and EN-50035 standards.
