General Description

The DAT7024 provides both current and voltage outputs from a CANopen (CAN bus) network. It can be configured to deliver either 4–20 mA or 0–10 V signals. Each output is fully isolated from the others as well as from the CANopen interface and power supply. The 4–20 mA channels can operate in either active mode (self-powered with 24 Vdc provided by the module) or passive mode (requiring an external power supply). Output impedance for the current loop is 500 Ω.

The DAT7024 is fully compliant with CiA DS 301 and CiA DS 401, allowing direct integration with CAN controllers and devices that follow these standards for seamless interoperability in industrial automation networks.

Configuration is straightforward: baud rate and node ID are set via DIP switches on the side of the enclosure. The slim 22.5 mm DIN rail housing includes plug-in terminals for easy wiring and hot swapping. For safe operation, the module offers galvanic isolation up to 1500 Vac for 1 minute between outputs, the CANopen network, and the power supply.

Frequently Asked Questions – DAT7024

The DAT7024 provides analog outputs as 4–20 mA (active or passive loop) or 0–10 V. Output states are transmitted over the CANopen (CAN bus) protocol.

In active mode, the module sources loop power (24 Vdc). In passive mode, an external supply powers the loop and the module sinks current. Choose the mode that matches your loop wiring and power budget.

The DAT7024 provides four analog output channels. Each channel is isolated from the others and from the CANopen interface and power supply for reliable operation.

The current output supports a loop load up to 500 Ω (typical). Ensure your loop resistance stays within this limit for full-scale accuracy.

Baud rate and node ID are configured via DIP switches on the side of the 22.5 mm DIN rail enclosure.

Yes. The module offers galvanic isolation up to 1500 Vac for 1 minute between outputs, the CANopen network, and the power supply.
