General Description

The DAT7188 accepts up to 8 digital inputs and provides 8 PNP digital outputs. Input and output states are converted into 16-bit digital data and transmitted over the CANopen (CAN bus) protocol, enabling reliable control and monitoring in distributed automation systems.

Fully compliant with CiA DS 301 and CiA DS 401, the DAT7188 can interface directly with CAN controllers and devices that follow these standards, ensuring seamless interoperability on CANopen networks.

The baud rate and node ID are configured via DIP switches on the side of the compact 22.5 mm DIN rail mountable enclosure. Plug-in terminals allow fast wiring and hot swapping without system downtime. For robust operation, the DAT7188 provides galvanic isolation up to 2000 Vac for 1 minute between the inputs, outputs, CANopen network, and power supply.
