General Description

The DAT1061 Isolated Head-Mounted Temperature Transmitter is a compact "hockey puck"-style device designed for direct installation in sensor heads. It provides galvanic isolation between input and output circuits up to 1500 Vac, ensuring safe and reliable signal transmission in industrial environments.

The DAT1061 supports a wide range of sensor inputs, including RTDs (Pt100, Pt1000, Ni100, Ni1000), mV signals up to 700 mV (minimum span 2 mV), resistance inputs up to 2000 Ohms (minimum span 10 Ohms), and potentiometers up to 50 kΩ. Configuration of sensor type, range, zero, and span is done via PC using the Datapro software.

The transmitter includes input linearization and output damping features, with damping time adjustable up to 30 seconds. The analog output is selectable as either 4-20 mA or reverse 20-4 mA, offering flexibility for control systems.

Both RTD and resistance inputs can be wired in 3-wire or 4-wire configurations, allowing for compensation of lead wire resistance. The DAT1061 is configured using Datapro software and the optional CVPROG USB programming interface, available from DATEXEL.
