General Description

The DAT5022 Low-Cost Signal Splitter is a compact and versatile 4-way isolated signal conditioner, providing galvanic isolation between the input, power supply, and both outputs. This isolation eliminates ground loops, enhances noise immunity, and ensures reliable performance in demanding industrial environments.

The device accepts analog inputs including 4–20 mA, 0–20 mA, 0–10 V, 2–10 V, 0–5 V, and 1–5 V, and provides two independent outputs that can be configured as current or voltage signals. Because it functions as both a splitter and a converter, the outputs can be different from the input type (e.g., current input converted to voltage output). This makes the DAT5022 highly flexible for signal distribution to multiple instruments.

Span and zero adjustments allow fine-tuning or the introduction of offsets to match system requirements. Configuration of input and output ranges is done easily via DIP switches, and the device can be supplied pre-configured or set up by the customer on-site.

The DAT5022 is powered by a 20–32 VDC supply with a maximum consumption of just 100 mA. It offers 0.1% full-scale accuracy and excellent stability, with a thermal drift of less than 0.01% per °F, ensuring long-term reliability.

Housed in a slim 12.5 mm DIN rail enclosure, compliant with EN-50022 and EN-50035 standards, the DAT5022 is well suited for space-constrained panels. It complies with EMC Directive 89/336/CEE, making it a cost-effective solution for splitting and conditioning analog signals in industrial automation.
