The DAT5024P Trip Amplifier or Trip Amp) is a programmable device with two relay outputs, designed for monitoring process signals and triggering alarms or control actions.
Featuring a universal input, the DAT5024P can be configured for a wide variety of signals including thermocouples, RTDs, resistance, mA, voltage, and millivolt inputs. This makes it an ideal choice for maintaining a single spare unit that can be calibrated or reprogrammed for any required application.
The two relay outputs are SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw) contacts, rated at 2 A, 250 VAC or 2 A, 30 VDC. Each relay can be independently configured for high or low trip operation, with the option to use both for high-high or low-low settings. Hysteresis is programmable from 0.5% to 10% of full scale, while trip delay is adjustable between 1 and 25 seconds. The trip level itself can be set anywhere between 2% and 98% of full scale.
The DAT5024P is DIP switch programmable or can be configured via PC using the CVPROG programming cable. Complete galvanic isolation (1500 VAC) is provided between inputs, outputs, and power supply, ensuring safe and interference-free operation in industrial environments.
