General Description

The DAT2014 is a 2-channel RTD and resistance input to Modbus RTU converter designed for high-accuracy temperature and resistance measurement across an RS-485 network. Each input channel is galvanically isolated, supporting the connection of 2- or 3-wire RTD sensors and resistance inputs with excellent stability over time and temperature.

Communication is managed through the Modbus RTU or Modbus ASCII protocol, allowing seamless integration with PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems. The module offers 1000 Vac isolation between input, power supply, and communication lines—eliminating ground-loop effects and ensuring reliable operation even in harsh industrial environments.

To ensure system safety, the DAT2014 includes a Watch-Dog timer alarm, while front-panel LEDs provide visual indication of power status, communication activity, and initialization conditions. The unit can be remotely configured for easy installation and maintenance. Housed in a 1-module DIN rail enclosure made of self-extinguishing plastic, the DAT2014 combines compact design with durability, conforming to EN-50022 standards.
