General Description

The Dual loop-powered isolator DAT512 is a passive 0 20 mA or 4 20 mA current loop isolator, meaning it does not require a separate power supply. The DAT512 being a dual Current Loop Isolator, saves cost and space in any control room environment. It is designed to isolate two analog 4 20 mA instrument signals from field equipment to the control room, such as a flow meter to a PLC.
It is wise and always correct to isolate the 4-20 mA signal between the control room and the field equipment.
The DAT512 uses the input signal to power up the device hence no need for a power supply.
The DAT512 is in compliance with the standard 89/336/EEC on the Electromagnetic Compatibility.
It is housed in a plastic enclosure of 22.5 mm thickness suitable for DIN rail mounting in compliance with EN-50022 and EN-50035 standards.
