General Description

The DAT5028 is a versatile trip amplifier / limit alarm with a local 4-digit display and configurable 2 or 4 relay outputs. It accepts universal inputs — thermocouples, RTDs, potentiometers, voltage, or current — and can retransmit as an analog signal (0–5 V, 0–10 V, 4–20 mA, or 0–20 mA).

Using the front-panel DIP switches and the integrated display, each trip point can be set directly from the front panel for fast commissioning. The current input and output can be configured for active or passive loop operation to suit a wide range of systems.

The DAT5028 provides 1500 Vac galvanic isolation between inputs, outputs, and the power supply, helping eliminate ground loops and ensuring reliable operation in industrial environments.
